Την πρώτη φορά που άκουσα κάποια απο τα κομμάτια τους δε μου έκαναν εντύπωση, ίσως επειδή μου αρέσουν οι πιο γρήγοροι ρυθμοί (όπως heavy metal), μέχρι τις φετινές καλοκαιρινές διακοπές στην Κεφαλλονιά, όπου είχαμε ξεμείνει ένα μεσημέρι στο ξενοδοχείο, και ακούγαμε τραγούδια στο κινητό με τον φίλο μου τον Γιώργο. Με το που άκουσα το Break on through (to the other side) έμεινα άφωνος, ήμουνα μαλάκας τόσο καιρό που δεν άκουγα The Doors, οι τύποι συνδυάζουν απίστευτη μουσική και τρομερό στίχο. Απο τότε λοιπόν αποφάσισα να το ψάξω λίγο παραπάνω και κατέληξα να γίνω fan τους.

Δυστυχώς μερικά χρόνια αργότερα απο το θάνατο του Jim Morrison, τραγουδιστή και στιχογράφο του συγκροτήματος, το συγκρότημα σταμάτησε, αφού πρώτα είχαν πάρει τις ηχογραφημένες απαγγελίες του Morrison, τις έντυσαν με μουσική και κυκλοφόρησαν στο album American prayer, όπου για άλλη μια φορά έδειξαν τη μαγκιά τους.
